Welcome Vahidin Omanovic

St. James welcomes Imam Vahidin Omanovic, Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Center for Peacebuilding to our pulpit on Sunday, July 16th in our service at 9AM.  Vahadin will be speaking on peace and reconciliation efforts in post-war Bosnia and Herzegovina, and will highlight what post-war life is like there, while also talking about his work with the Center for Peacebuilding, the organizations mission statement and it's outreach work. He will also be talking about the inter-religious aspects of peacebuilding and healing in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Members of St. James recently took a trip to Bosnia through the Cohen Center at Keene State, where they met Vahadin and heard his story.  He is familiar with our area, being a graduate of the SIT program in Brattleboro, and is looking forward to taking part in the Summer Institute on Holocaust and Genocide Studies at the college.  We are pleased that he will be taking the time to come to St. James.  All are welcome.
