St James Is Sponsoring a Trip to the Camino de Santiago in Spain
April 14-23, 2019
St. James (or Santiago in Spanish) is our namesake here at the Episcopal Church in Keene, and it’s also the namesake of one of the most famous Christian pilgrimage walking routes in the world - the Camino de Santiago. With the help of the Keene travel company, Discover Europe, St. James is excited to sponsor a 10 day trip to Spain in April. This trip is not limited to church members - we'd love for you to join us.
The trip is designed to be accessible to all, guiding us along the route of the Camino, visiting interesting pilgrimage sights along the way, and giving participants the opportunity to walk on different parts of the path as their ability allows. Our tour guide, Gavin Miller, knows the Camino very well and will guide and inform us about the area history along the way. Rev. Elsa Worth will serve as host for the trip, offering optional morning and evening prayer to frame each day as a spiritual journey.
The trip includes all ground transportation in Spain, lodging in 1st class hotels with taxes and service fees, and all dinners and breakfasts, as well as entrance fees to all sites. For more information, take a look at the brochure HERE. If you have questions or would like to express your interest in taking this trip, please contact Elsa.
6-10 participants will need to sign up by the end of October for this trip to take place in 2020. If you cannot join in this spring, but might be interested in a camino trip in the future, please let Elsa know.
