How about a little bit of our societal isolation. Get out of the house and spend some time with others, dancing and/or just visiting with each other in the Jonathan Daniels Room. Come on your own or bring some friends with you - anyone is welcome. Classic dance music from oldies to new will be playing, and the JD room is a great place to dance!

Why dance during Lent? As a church we’re being invited to give up some of our isolating habits for Lent by scheduling one on one meetings with people we’d like to get to know better over coffee. Dancing is just another enjoyable and healthy way for people to come together. Not only is dancing a fun way to do something other than just another night of TV, but it’s a great way to be out with people, get to know them, get some exercise and boost your attitude for the week ahead. It's spiritually good for you in every way.

When: Sunday evenings from 7-8 pm during Lent (Feb 22-Mar 29)

Where: Jonathan Daniel’s Room, St. James Church (enter through rear office door and come upstairs)

Who: Anyone who wants to de-stress, join in, have fun. No need to be a ‘good dancer.’ Move at your own pace and in your own way. You can even dance sitting down! No matter what, movement and togetherness is good.

There will be snacks! You can also bring some to share if you’d Iike. There’s plenty of cold tap water available, too - or you can bring your own beverage.
